L’Oréal, Lancôme, Sephora & Haute Look Haul

Shame on me! I went to the L’Oréal event three times, but this is my second and largest haul. If you have not seen the previous haul I did, you can check it out HERE. Anyway, I’m also showing Sephora and Haute Look items that I have acquired over the last 3 months. I never showed them in hauls, but I mentioned some of them in my Make Up Collection and Updated Foundation Routine videos.

The third time I went, I spent about $15 and I didn’t get as much. Therefore, I won’t be filming a third haul.

Sephora (September and November purchases)

In September, I ordered the Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturiser, which I have mentioned several times and did a demo for in my Updated Foundation Routine. I have oily skin and tinted moisturisers tend to make my face look greasy. This foundation goes on wet, dries matte and stays put all day. It’s amazing at evening out my complexion now that my skin is a lot clearer than before. Over the passed two months, this foundation has literally been a dream, too bad the price is horrendous! ($65)

I ordered the Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Eyeshadow Collection Palette and I won’t lie, I haven’t reached for it much. I love all the colours in the third column and the colours chase, flow and vanilla. It’s a steal too, considering each shadow is full sized. I think the reason why I haven’t reach for it as much is that, although the packaging is beautiful, it’s not ideal when you are in a rush like the Naked palette. ($55)

I had never seen a NARS blush palette before, this was limited edition and I knew I would love this. I last saw it in stock late October. Those are all my excuses for spending $65 on this palette. Prior to this, I only owned Orgasm from NARS. These blushes are 2/3 of the size of regular blush singles, which usually retail for $27. As mentioned by everyone else, the only down fall is Super Orgasm, but I still find the palette worth it.

Haute Look

I had been wanting a flat topped kabuki brush forever, so I ordered a Badger Crown Brush from Haute Look for $8. I was gifted an angled brush and retractable lipstick brush from my mom, who also ordered there. So far, I’ve only been using the Badger brush for all over face powder.

L’Oréal Sale

I absolutely love power clutch and glamour purse from the Essie 2011 Fall Collection. I was so happy to find the rest of the shades at the sale for $5 each, instead of $9-$11. I didn’t want the light pink shade, so I picked up the colours very structured, carry on, and case study. I am in love with very structured!

I picked up 3 L’Oréal Studio Secrets Professional Eye Shadow Singles in Midnight Sky 212, Spring Leaf 301 and Sandy Shores 801 for $2.25 each. I’ve only used Sandy Shores and it has decent pigmentation after a couple of uses. I think they put something over textured powders, because I usually have to rub them a bit more to get proper pigmentation.

I love Rimmel and L’Oréal lipsticks! I could buy almost any shade but frosty pinks or browns. This summer, I lived in bright pink lipstick and I couldn’t resist Crazy Fuchsia. For fall, my obsession is with plums, burgundies and dark browns like Intense Plum.

I have been gushing over Lancôme since my last visit at the sale and decided to stock up on these beauties. This one is Pink Eclipse from Le Red Absolu with SPF 15 Vitamin E, which claims to be ultra moisturising for 6 hour wear. ($13.50)

Here is French Touch limited edition lipstick in Rose Daria, I’m not sure if this is also named after Daria Werbowy. They previously made one called Daisy Rose, which was said to be inspired by her natural lip colour. Anyway, I’ve actually tried this one and it’s really nice. I love that it’s build-able, very pigmented and more subtle than a flamboyant red or pink. ($13.50)

I picked up the Le Kohl Gloss in Pop Petrol for $10.80, it was the only colour available and I believe it was limited edition. It sort of reminds me of a creamy and glossy NYX jumbo pencil.

I bought the Sensational Effects Eye Shadow Quad Smooth Hold in Showstopper Style for $24. This quad retails at Sephora for $42. I’ve clearly been using this for the passed week. The colors compliment each other perfectly and it’s very nice that the dark shades in matte and the light ones in frost finishes.

I hope this post was helpful to anyone who was looking into these products. I didn’t do swatches because I was short on time and I find hand swatching is a bit irrelevant. Overall, a sheer to opaque application of any product looks different on every depending on skin tone and pigmentation.

Let me know if you have any channel requests or questions about the products.

Thanks for reading 😉
