Prada Platform Dupe

I’ve always lusted after these Prada shoes because of both their uniqueness and classic appeal. They literally look like they could make any outfit more dressed up.  I can imagine them being worn with anything from a skinny jean, cocktail dress, mini skirt or tailored shorts… etc!

They are now available at an attainable price, all thanks to Jeffrey Campbell and Topshop. I’ll be highlighting the similarities and differences of both alternative shoes.

These are the infamous, beautiful sky high Prada platforms that you might have seen chicmuse & fashiontoast wearing on both their blogs. FYI these have also been seen on Alexa Chung, which basically means I’m obsessed.

Don’t be fooled, both the Prada and Jeffrey Campbell Perfect shoes appear to be just a classic black platform when they are truly not. Both have a unique square tipped sole and slim peep toe that conceals more than usual. The heel is round as opposed to being square and it doesn’t tapper towards the end.

What are the main differences?

  • the Prada heel and front platform are attached to the “exposed sole” where we see the light material, where as the JC heel and front platform are seamless with the rest of the shoe
  • the JC version does not expose the heel of the foot , but the straps are actually quiet similar

I hope this was helpful to anyone who is looking for an alternative to the Prada platforms. These Jeffrey Campbells can be found at Free People they retail for about $150.

What are the main differences?

  • The Prada platform and heel are both covered in suede, where as these have patent finished heels.
  • The cross strap in front differs from the original, but the peep toe remains squared.
  • There is ankle buckle enclosure is standard and has wider straps, where as the Prada pair have a cross strap ankle enclosure.

These Podium Cross Over Platform Sandals are sold on Topshop. They come in green, patent gold and patent silver.
