ASOS haul

Today’s post is a little ASOS haul. I bought some things on the ASOS website and I thought I would show them to you now since they are having some really great sales and free international shipping. I hate paying for shipping (who doesn’t), because I already pay outrageous customs when I receive the items from them. I browsed through loads of pages to find these things and filled up my virtual cart. Afterwards, I sifted through everything and decided to keep whatever I deemed to be worth while on my budget.

Western Leather Ankle Boots – $98.48 now 39.39$

These would be perfect for all seasons except winter (stupid snow). I’m a slave for boots, I have tones of black ones.  For a change, these are tanned leather ankle boots with an pointed almond toe with a mid heel. I really like these types of boots worn with a dresses, skirts, shorts or leggings. I couldn’t resist the price, what a snag!

UPDATE 2012-04-17: I picked these up in a UK 6 which is a US 8 and they are a half size too big. I’m not sure if it’s because of the style model, but I’ve ordered the same size in sandals and those fit just fine. I really love their way they look and they are comfortable, but too loose for me. Unfortunately, I’ll be returning these.

Oasis Drape Front Tunic – $89.53 now 35.81$

I’ve been telling myself over and over that I need to inject more colour into my wardrobe, what better way than with a fuchsia dress! It has a nicely draped sheer chiffon overlay with tier details. Paired with opaque tights, it’s perfect for winter, while on it’s own, it’s perfect for summer. The other thing that I love is that the lining is not polyester for once!

UPDATE 2012-04-17: This dress fit me fine except the arm holes are a little too small for my liking, meaning that they are too close to the pits for my liking. I should have taken a US 8. The dress looks better belted under that draping material but when I do that with a size US 6, the dress looks too short.  Judging by the material in person, the dress is best suited for all seasons but summer because of the layers.

Turban Knot Headband – $10.74 now $3.58

I currently own one of these, but it’s forest green from Forever 21. I hate wearing hats, so these headbands are a dream for me to wear throughout the colder seasons. It has a gorgeous large turban-style knot to the centre and a wide band and a soft chunky knit finish.

UPDATE 2012-04-17: There’s nothing to say about this piece other than I love it.

Let me know what you think!
