Lancôme Fall 2012 Midnight Rose Collection

I have been a fan of Lancôme products since I did my L’Oréal Event Haul. I’m very excited and fortunate to be in contact with them. I was kindly sent various Lancôme Fall 2012 products for blogging purposes. This post will feature 6 make-up items from their new and upcoming Midnight Rose Collection, which will be sold at select retailers as of Mid-September 2012. Please note that this post will be subject to updates once I have gotten a chance to swatch and test out the products.

For Fall 2012, Lancôme’s newest products are floral or rose themed with products such as the Accord 3 Roses in body milk $46 & body balm $36. Julia Roberts will be the face of their newest perfume La Vie Est Belle, which is a sweet floral powdery scent. All of which I will be reviewing very soon.

On to the make-up, all prices are in Canadian:

Blush Highlighter 001 Moonlight Rose  – 48$

Classic and iconic Lancôme, high gloss packaging that is prone to finger prints, but it’s still beautiful.

Le Regard Pro eyebrow kit – 58$

Here is a close up of the double ended eyebrow brush and tweezers. This is a fairly priced high end product considering this compact comes with a good sized mirror, tweezers, a double ended brush, and 4 powder shades for the brow.

Hypnôse Brow Shaper – 28$

L’Absolu Rouge Mat Lipstick 160 Rouge Hypnôse – 35$

Available in 2 more shades:

361 Rose Sortilège

360 Rose Aphordia (not available in Canada)

L’Absolu Rouge Mat Lip Gloss 300 Magie Pourpre – 33$

Available in 2 more shades:

300 Potion D’Amour

301 Pure Elixir

Vernis in Love 453 Infusion de Prune – 16$

Available in 3 more shades:

030 Givre Magique

280 Cosmopolitain Kaki (not available in Canada)

250 Beige Poudré (not available in Canada)

I’m wearing 3 coats in the picture above, but 2 coats should suffice depending on how well you apply the first two. My experience with Lancôme nail polishes to date has been positive, though I only own one other shade (see here). This shade is a cream with a glossy finish. Similar to OPI, the glossy finish is long lasting compared to many other brands. I experienced minor chipping, but that’s because the nails that did chip were already brittle prior to the application.

Downfall, I noticed that this collection launched 6ml polishes rather than 10ml polishes, such as my previous Lancôme polish Le Vernis 107 Rouge Panthere.

As I mentioned earlier, this is a preview post and therefore it will be subject to updates. I will be posting swatches and my thoughts on the products once I have gotten the chance to further test them out. I also plan on featuring these products in make-up tutorials on my youtube channel, I’ll be sure to link them to this post.
