There were a lot of feminine silhouettes, with structured dresses that flared at the waist. There were also touches of bohemian prints, deep, warm shades and fur accents. I loved all the models’ hair and make-up, too. I would have liked to have taken better pictures, but our seats made it very difficult to take full body shoots. Here’s a taste of what their AW 2012 collection looked like.
Later on that evening, we waited for the Attitude by Jay Manuel show, a clothing line carried by Sears. I wasn’t a fan of most of the clothing, since it was very work-wear oriented, however I found the collection was well put together.
I did however like the grey long-sleeved maxi dress with the silver cuff.
I actually caught a glimpse of the creative director of America’s Next Top Model and host of Canada’s Next Top Model! I’ve been a long time fan of Next Top Model. I’ve watched a few seasons from the American, Canadian, Australian and British versions of the show. Naturally, I screamed, then composed myself, and took many failed cellphone pictures as he strutted down the cat walk. My lovely boyfriend filmed Jay Manuel, I’ve included the footage in the video below.
Of course, this post wouldn’t be complete without an outfit of the day with a strange man in the background. He actually made overt signals to people with cameras, he wanted his picture taken by everyone!
Did you attend FMDM? If so, what shows did you watch?
