This year I was disappointed that Lancôme lipsticks were being sold at $24 rather than $13.50, which is what I paid last year. I was also disappointed that I saw a lot of the exact same products as I did the year prior. However, I did pick up some drugstore products and they were very well priced! I’m definitely going to go back and pick up more goodies.
Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick 978 Amethyst Ablaze
I paid $2.25 CND when they usually range between $7 – $10 at Shoppers. Amethyst Ablaze is a true purple shade with small pink glitter running throughout. I’m a fan of the Maybelline Color Sensation formula ever since I purchased the shade Fuchsia Fever.
L’Oréal Crayon Petite Automatic Lip Liner Burgundy
This L’Oréal lipliner is a wine red in a velvety matte texture, I snagged this for a mere $3 CND.
L’Oréal Pro Manicure Nail Polish Breaking Curfew
I’m wearing Breaking Curfew with a moon manicure in the picture above. My OPI Lincoln Park After Dark has gotten thick and difficult to apply smoothly, so I picked up this shade called Breaking Curfew, it’s similar too Carry On by essie and it cost me $2.50 CND.
Biotherm Biopur Pore Reducer Gentle Purifying Gel
Mom picked up two of these cleansers and I offered to pay for one of them since we sometimes share them. I’m not very confident about it’s pore reducing capabilities, but I’m really not enjoying my current Neutrogena cleanser at the moment. This retails for $30 CND, but we got it for $9.75.
Lancôme Color Design Eye Shadow Quad Innocence Couture
As I mentioned above, the major set back at this year’s sale was the fact that the Lancôme lipsticks were almost twice the price they were last year. However, I got this eye shadow quad for $22 and I consider that to be a fair deal for a Lancôme product. I purchased the Lancôme ‘Color Design’ Sensational Effects Eye Shadow Quad in Showstopper Style for $24.
Innocence Couture, according to Lancôme, is a neutral cool palette of matte cream and beige-y rose with soft taupe and eggplant shimmer. I’ve been attracted to shades like these as of late, the two shades on the right remind me a bit of the Elizabeth Arden Duo in Heathered Plums and the pale shade in the upper left corner reminds me of the MAC eye shadow in Bisque.
I can not wait to feature these products in tutorials. I’m very grateful to have gotten a ticket to go this year, it really takes a bit of the financial burden off stocking up on lovely beauty items. I’ll post another haul after my second visit.
Did you attend the sale this year or in previous years? If so how was your experience, did you also go to the L’Oréal sale in Montreal?
xx
