Happy Manicure Monday and Canadian Thanksgiving! Today, I’ve got Avon speed dry enamel and an opal top coat on my middle and ring fingers.
Can we just stop and appreciate this beauty of a nail polish? Thank you!
Over the past couple of months, I’ve bee sent several items from Avon, including their newly formulated nail polishes and they are incredible. The nail polishes have been the most exciting things I’ve received, so far.
Avon Speed Dry nail polish 12 mL $6.99 CND | Avon Opal Top Coat nail polish 12 mL $6.99 CND
As mentioned in last week’s manicure post, I’m blown away by the pigmentation, ease of application, shine and lasting power of the Avon nail polishes. Twilight Blue was no different.
Avon Speed Dry+ Nail Enamel
- dries in less than 30 seconds
- makes nails feel rock hard
- has a flat brush for easy application
- has no formaldehyde, toluene or DBP
This comes in 1 clear, 7 shimmer and 19 creme finishes for a total of 27 shades on the Avon site. This was classified as a creme, but it’s not. It was a shimmer finish (like satin, not sparkly), but it hardly shows on the nail.
Though this one promises a speed dry, I really paid no attention to that feature. I didn’t have any drying issues, so I’d say we’re in the ok. I wore two coats and it lasted roughly 5 days until chipping became noticeable.
Avon Opal Top Coat Opalenscene
Opal top coat Opalenscene is a mouthful to say, but it’s rather gorgeous, especially over a darker nail polish. It will add a bit of unexpected iridescent flecks to your manicure.
The only set back with this top coat is that I noticed the nails that had this top coat chipped quick than the ones without it.
What are your favorite nail polish and top coat combos of the moment?
