Last Thursday, I attended a Revlon manicure event for their new Marchesa collection (first collection mentioned here). Guests picked up new Revlon products and I had my eye on many items! I’ll be focusing on two Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balms in this post.
New makeup products have been trickling into Canadian retailers lately such as the: Lacquer Balms, Matte Balms, highlighting palettes, powder blushes, cream blushes and tons of nail polishes!
FYI – I mentioned their first Marchesa collection in a previous post. Before it was nail strips, now we are looking at files, tools and accessories (post coming soon).
Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm Swatches
Here they are! I only snagged two, they are 135 Provocateur and 125 Flirtatious.
As you can see, the Lacquer Balms have a metallic looking tube – sort of like colored chrome. They differ from the Matte Balms which have matte packaging and the Balm Stains, which are simply regular plastic.
Lacquer Balm 135 Provocateur Swatch
Provocateur is a gorgeous glossy red which is perfectly suitable for the Holiday season. This shade is a glossy cream without any micro glitter.
Lacquer Balm 125 Flirtatious Swatch
Flirtatious is a stunning berry red, it isn’t a true red like Provocateur. As seen below, this shade has micro-glitter.
A couple of swipes give the lips nice coverage and the product goes on like butter. The texture is very creamy and it is comfortable on the lips. The Lacquer Balms all have a glossy finish, they either have micro glitter or they wear like a glossy cream.
Unlike the Matte Balms, these have a more sheer finish. You could fix that with a lipliner, which would help the product wear longer on the lips too.

What are your thoughts on the new Revlon ColorBurst Balms? Which ones have you tried?
