Valentine’s Day Edit | Avon MegaWatt Nail Polish + More

With Valentine’s day fast approaching, consider these items as affordable gifts and a lovely gesture to someone you love. To me, Valentine’s day is not simply a day for lovers to celebrate, but also a day to express love and appreciation towards a friend or relative.

First, we have to adorable Avon Foundation Rose Zippered Case (pictured above). This is a polyester and nylon mesh bag that is fully lined with a zipper closure. The zipper is accented with hot and light pink ribbons. Oh, and how could I overlook the floral texture? Love that!

100% of the net proceeds are for breast cancer research, awareness and support services. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find this case on the Avon website after February 6th.

After having tried and loved both the Gel Finish and Speed Dry formulas, I had high hopes the Avon MegaWatt nail polish formulation.

You get vibrant and vivid color, but the opacity is not to my liking. It reminds me of a matted down version of the OPI jelly formulation, I hated being able to see the white tips of my nails through my polish.

Of course, you can always where a white base coat to fix the opacity issue. If shiny nails are your thing, consider a top coat. Overall, I simply can’t be bothered with many extra steps – which is a shame, because the color is beautiful.

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day?
