Revlon has teamed up with Sony Pictures to launch an exclusive collection of lip and nail shades inspired by the ‘electric’ theme of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” This post will feature one lipgloss and one nail polish from the Electric Chrome Collection.
It features two new electrifying shades of Super Lustrous Lipgloss and six new shocking shades of Revlon’s iconic Nail Enamel. There appears to be a third lipgloss in the US release, it’s blue. The collection’s packaging has gold spider webs, you can’t miss it.
The Electric Chrome Collection became available early April. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been in theatres since May 2nd. Definitely catch a glimpse, while you still can!
Revlon Electric Chrome Collection Swatches – The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Killer Watt is a sparkling fuchsia with blue and silver shimmer, not be confused with Killer Watt in the ColorBurst line that release in Spring 2013. This shimmer is not very apparent on the lips, but it leaves the lips glossy with a pink tint.
The formulation is comfortable, non sticky or gritty – you cannot feel the micro shimmer on the lips. That lasting power, as to be expected, is not very long but I don’t mind re-applying.
I feel like I need to buy more of these shades! I absolutely love this chrome nail polish in I’m Electro. This shade is a mid toned bright blue with a slight purple duo-chrome. The photos above don’t do the purple shimmer justice, I’ve also posted this NOTD on instagram – see below.
It took 3-4 coats to ensure total opacity, but the colour is worth the effort. That being said, the consistency is thin and the brush makes for easy application. I applied the ColorStay Gel Envy top coat and it lasted 4-5 days without noticeable chipping.
The Limited Edition Election Chrome Collection includes:
- Revlon Electric Chrome Nail Enamel in 1000 Volts, Electrified Web, Gwen’s Crush, I’m Electro, Spidey Sense, and Super-Powered. $5.95 each
- Revlon Electric Chrome Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Killer-Watt and Sparks Fly, $9.50 each
Availability: Nationwide April at drug stores and mass retailers. For more information, visit Revlon.ca
