Here’s another lip and nail post! I purchased the Sephora Favorites Meet Your Match lip and nail set during the VIB sale and it’s still being sold, though it is marked as limited edition.
I’ve taken the liberty of swatching and photographing each item on the nails and lips to share with you before the set disappears.
The set has deluxe samples ranging from 0.03 to 0.17 oz of product.
Sephora Favorites Meet Your Match Lip and Nail Set
The set includes matching lip and nail combos in nude, coral and what looks to be a radiant orchid purple shade.
For nudes, we have Hourglass Cosmetics Extreme Sheen High Shine Lip Gloss in Child and Formula X Nail Color in Invincible.
Hourglass Extreme Sheen High Shine Lip Gloss in Child is a sheer nude gloss which pairs beautifully with a smokey eye. It’s nothing incredible, but it is nice.
Formula X Nail Color in Invincible is an opaque nude nail polish with a cream finish. I only needed two coats to reach full opacity, but it had somewhat of a thick formula and I was worried it wouldn’t dry properly. Luckily, it dried down well, after all!
The purple wild orchid duo included Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss in Strangefruit and Nails Inc. Devonshire Row Nail Polish.
Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss in Strangefruit is a sheer pink that leans purple. This shade disappointed me considering I am normally a fan of Bite Beauty glosses. I didn’t mind that it was sheer; my was that it was difficult to get an even layer of coverage on the lips.
Nails Inc. Devonshire Row Nail Polish nail polish is a deep rich lilac shade. It’s one of those shades you can wear all year round because it is deep, but still colorful. I applied 2 coats for full coverage and then a third just because I’m that kind of girl.
The coral pair included Lipsurgence Lip Tint in Elite and Deborah Lippman Nail Lacquer in Girls Just Want to Have Fun.
Lipsurgence Lip Tint in Elite was the perfect my lips but coral-er shade. It felt like a Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain when applied, but it didn’t dry to a stain as quickly.
DL Nail Lacquer in Girls Just Want to Have Fun disappointed me. It is described as a “carefree coral” with a creme finish, but it applied sheerly and wore almost like a jelly finish on me. Above, I’m wearing 4 coats and it got a bit streaky. Maybe mine was a dud, but this was my first experience with Deborah Lippman nail polish and I was expecting to be wowed.
Overall, I loved two of the nail polished and two of the lip products.
What do you think of the shade? Will you pick up a set?
