Biologique Recherche Masque Vivant Review

This week’s Beauty Panel challenge was to share a favourite face mask. Biologique Recherche Masque Vivant is a balancing mask and since I first posted about this brand a year ago, this product of theirs has become one of my most prized skincare possessions. If you have oily combination skin that is susceptible to acne and breakouts, you would love this mask.

Yup, it is quite possibly the ugliest mask I’ve ever tried. Seriously, there is no way to look cute with this stuff on, but all that matters are the results! Just pretend it’s chocolate.

This mask is perfect for my oily combination skin as it contains yeast extract, lactic acid, cucumber extract, amino acids, vitamin B and a whole lot of other goodness. Though, yeast does not have the most pleasant scent, it works at reducing oil production and cleaning out dirty pores.

When I’m not feeling spendy and I am feeling lazy to wash this bad boy off; I use the mask as a spot treatment for pimples and brown spots from receding breakouts. I got this recommendation from BR International Trainer, Louisa Page. The Masque Vivant is wonderful for breakouts and post breakout marks because the lactic acid helps accelerate skin turnover rate.

Furthermore, unlike other exfoliating masks, this one from Biologique Recherche does not sting, itch or irritate so long as you are not allergic to the ingredients.

The product availability is a bit scarce. You can purchase the product online or select spas where the brand is sold. Biologique Recheche is available in Montreal, exclusively at Spa La Chambre Des Dames.

What is your favourite facial mask?
