I was invited to the KeraStraight event at the L’Ultime hair salon located in the Hôtel Marriott Château Champlain for a treatment session. Unfortunately, that was also the only morning I could book an appointment for a haircut with my hairdresser, so I didn’t undergo the treatment.
Instead, I had the opportunity to chat with Jez Barnett, the creator of the KeraStraight brand. He demonstrated and explained the entire KS Ultimate Treatment process. The process boasts both Protein and Moisture Masks which have been designed to repair, re-hydrate and renew hair from the inside out.
KeraStraight – Gorgeous Made Easy
The process includes washing the hair, applying the product to the hair strand by strand and then blow drying the hair with the product still in. The heat activates the product – it’s a chemical process I couldn’t explain to you! Afterwards, the treatment is washed out and the hair gets styled as usual. Post treatment, the hair de-tangled, hydrated and split ends are (temporarily) binded leaving the hair feeling soft and nourished. I had couldn’t stop playing with everyone’s hair after! The treatment results last for approximately 30 days.
The KS Ultimate Treatment is available in Montreal at the following hair salons: L’Ultime coiffure-spa, Tease Hair Salon, MESH Coiffure and Maxicolor Coiffure.
The following are some of KeraStraight‘s maintenance products.
This is a highly concentrated and lightweight weekly treatment that is applied in a small amount onto shampooed and towel tried hair. Then you comb through the hair, leave on for 5 minutes and then rinse and style as desired. Its ingredients include Palmeira Tucuma and Carob Bean Extract – designed to re-hydrate dry and damaged hair.
This is a treatment and blow drying cream in one product. it has highly concentrated, lightweight style repair creams which are heat activated and leave the hair shiny and hydrated. To use, apply a small amount on to pre-shampooed and towel dried hair, comb through and style as required.
I can’t wait to try out the KeraStraight samples I brought home. I will follow up in a future post.
