Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Duo 1 and 2 Review

The MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Duo is an exclusive, undetectable contour duo for easy, natural, and traceless highlighting and contouring.

This weightless highlighting and contouring gel-powder is comfortable to the touch and blends seamlessly. Natural looking, it helps you master the art of light and shadow to reveal your most naturally sculpted look — exclusively at Sephora.

The Pro Sculpting Duo is available in two shades: 01 Pink Beige for fair-to-medium skin, and 02 Golden for medium-deep to deep skin.

The texture of the Pro Sculpting Duo is marvellous, smooth and goes on dramatic, but in a good way. I wouldn’t call these products subtle, by any means, unless you are very light handed. I happen to love the gold and it’s great for evening makeup.

The contouring power, unfortunately is a tad on the orange side. I would use it as a bronzer as opposed to a contouring powder. I feel like it should not have been marketed as a contour powder unless it were cooler toned.

Due to the unique gel to powder formulation, I recommend using a synthetic fibre brush with this product. I personally prefer the Real Techniques setting brush or MAKE UP FOR EVER 150 Precision Blush Brush for highlighting (reviewed here). For bronzing, try using the MAKE UP FOR EVER 156 Large Flat Blush Brush and for a cheaper alternative, try an Eco Tools blush brush.

Overall, the product gives the skin a luminous glow that’s absolutely beautiful – the golden shade immediately reminded me of JLo. It’s going to look amazing with a tan, gosh… this is going to be a good summer!

What do you think of gel to powder formulations?
