Here’s a basic go-to minimal makeup routine for “back to reality” season. The holidays are long gone and it is time to go back to school or work. This is often when I get lazy with makeup, especially after having such poor sleeping habits over the holiday period. When you’re running late for work or school or maybe you can’t be bothered with a full face — this look is for you!\

I used a serum as a moisturiser and moved on to the Estee Lauder Double Wear Makeup To-Go foundation. What’s awesome about this foundation is that it is packaged like a compact, but it is actually a liquid foundation that dispenses when you press a button. It’s very easy to use and it gives the skin a dewy finish that looks healthy and refreshed. Since I have oily skin, I sealed my makeup with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder.
To add a bit of colour back into the skin, I’m using a fairly neutral browny pink blush called Roses by CoverGirl. It’s very hard to over due this blush, since it isn’t too pigmented. I finish off with defined brows, a lengthening mascara and a medium tone rosy mauvy pink lipstick. I wouldn’t wear a nude lip because there’s not much else going on.
